Overview
A soon-to-be-inaugurated futuristic tower towers over a Dakar suburb along the Atlantic coast. Ada, a 17-year-old girl, is head over heels in love with Souleiman, a young construction worker. However, she has made a commitment to another guy. Souleiman and his coworkers depart the nation by boat one night, hoping for a brighter future. A fire destroys Ada’s wedding a few days later, and a strange fever spreads. Ada has no idea that Souleiman has returned.
