Overview

A benevolent alien is encountered and befriended by a young boy called Elliott after being trapped on Earth. When Elliott brings the extraterrestrial into his suburban California home, he reveals E.T. to his brother and little sister, Gertie, and the kids plan to keep the alien’s presence a secret. However, E.T. soon becomes sick, necessitating government interference and putting Elliott and the alien in a dangerous condition.
