Overview

Shouya Ishida begins to harass Shouko Nishimiya, the new girl in class, because she is mute. However, as the bullying proceeds, the remainder of the class begins to blame Shouya for his lack of empathy. Shouko and Shouya do not talk to each other until they quit grade school… when an older, wiser Shouya, tormented by his past actions, realizes he must see Shouko once more. He tries to make amends for his wrongdoings, but is it too late…?
