The story of Becoming John Malkovich’s creator came from the creator of Becoming John Malkovich.
Nicolas Cage is Charlie Kaufman, the confused L.A. screenwriter who is distracted by his inadequately loaded twin brother Donald’s sense of romantic confusion, self-pity and screenplay aspirations. Kaufman’s world spins from pathetic to bizarre as he is trying to adapt “”The Orchid Thief”” by Susan Orlean. The lives of Kaufman, the book of Orlean, are oddly interwoven with each other’s searching for love.
