What is slower than a projectile but can leap tall buildings with a single bound?
The people and situations in this film are fictional – luckily! Robert Hays appears as an ex fighter pilot compelled to step over the care of an aviator when a flight crew succumbs to food poisoning, and a cast of the all-stars, including the Robert Stack, the Lloyd Bridges, Peter Graves, Leslie Nielsen, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and more. Airplane! is a masterpiece of an off-the-wall sitcom. Its funny high jink airplane parody spoof tragedy clicks, moral zealots, TV advertisements, passionate love, etc. And the plot runs from one moment to the next.
