A drama focused on the perspectives of Agu, a boy battling in a fictitious West African country’s civil war. The story follows Agu’s adventure when he is forced to pursue a party of soldiers. Although Agu hates his commander and many of the men around him, the war raging through his country has violently destroyed his youth, and he is divided between revulsion and curiosity at first. Paints a deep, complicated image of Agu as a child soldier by depicting the mechanics of battle and not shying away from clear, visceral imagery.
