When playing Sentinel, a new first-person shooter from a major game publisher, video game champion Max Troy notices the activities in the game are mirrored in the actual world. He quickly discovers that the protagonist of the game is real-life Orson Creed, an ex-Sentinel employee who is being secretly manipulated by the company for unexplained motives. Max and Creed must work together to uncover the plot until the game’s sinister activities intensify and overtake the city when the fictional and physical realms clash.
