Following the catastrophic incidents in New York with The Avengers, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, is settling down in Washington, D.C. and adjusting to everyday life. As a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague is attacked, Steve gets entangled in a network of intrigue that puts the planet in jeopardy. Captain America joins hands with Black Widow to uncover the growing plot while fighting off trained assassins sent to silence him at any level. Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the aid of a new friend, the Falcon, as the complete scale of the villainous scheme is unveiled. However, they are quickly confronted by an unlikely and daunting foe: the Winter Soldier.
