Overview

Following the Second Effect, Tokyo-3 is targeted by giant monsters known as Angels that aim to exterminate humanity. Shinji’s goal is to pilot one of the enigmatic Evangelion mecha units in order to defeat the Angels. A revival of GAINAX’s popular 1996 anime series’ first six chapters. For its DVD version, the film was renamed “”Evangelion: 1.01,”” and “”Evangelion: 1.11″” for a release with additional scenes.
