Jessie is an ageing career convict who has spent more time in bars, battles, plots, and lineups than anybody else. Though his son Vito is now on the straight and narrow, he has a shady history and is no novice to criminal behavior. They all have high hopes for Adam, Vito’s son and Jessie’s grandson, who is bright, attractive, and has never been in trouble.
