Overview
Whip Whitaker, a commercial airline pilot, has a substance and alcohol addiction, but he’s completed all of his flights successfully so far. When a catastrophic mechanical failure sends his plane hurtling through the sea, his luck runs out. Whip pulls off a miraculous crash-landing with just six people killed. Whip promises to get clean after being shaken to his heart, but as his relapse is revealed during the accident investigation, he finds himself in a much worse condition.
