Nora (Camilla Belle), a law student, and Mary (Alexa Vega), an undergrad party kid, live with their father in a lavish mansion in Beverly Hills in this whimsical fish-out-of-water novel. Mary has been so “”90210″” that she continues to acknowledge her Mexican heritage. As Dad passes away unexpectedly, their opulent lives are flipped upside down. They are compelled to shift into their estranged aunt Aurelia’s (Adriana Barraza) modest but vibrant home in the Latino-centric Boyle Heights neighborhood of East LA after discovering they have been left penniless.
