I Spy is a secret-agent thriller series on American television. It starred Robert Culp as international tennis player Kelly Robinson and Bill Cosby as his trainer, Alexander Scott, and aired on NBC for three seasons from 1965 to 1968. The characters’ adventures as ostensible “”tennis bums,”” with Robinson playing skilled tennis as a novice with the rich in exchange for food and accommodation and Scott accompanying them, served as a cover story for their positions as top Pentagon officers. They were normally kept occupied catching villains, spies, and attractive women in their real employment.
