Overview

The film is based on a well-known Thai pornographic novel and follows Jan, a young boy who grows up in a house ruled by his sadistic and debauched father, Luang Wisnan. The plot is set in the 1930s and follows Jan, whose mother died while giving birth to him and who is despised by his father. Jan grows up with his stepmother, Aunt Wad, and he struggles to reconcile his shame and longing with many people in his life, including a girl named Hyacinth, whom he adores, and later Madame Boonleung, his father’s lover, who plays a crucial role in Jan’s sexual awakening.
