Jarhead is a film about Anthony Swofford, a US Marine who served in the Gulf War. Swofford and his unit are sent to the Persian Gulf after enduring a grueling boot camp, where they are ready to fight but are compelled to remain on the sidelines. Swofford is torn between the possibility of his partner cheating on him and the temptation to destroy as his emotional health deteriorates.
