In 1947, a military tribunal would hear allegations of crimes against humanity against four German judges who sat on the bench under the Nazi dictatorship. Chief Justice Haywood hears proof and testimonies from the wife of a Nazi general, an idealistic US Army lieutenant, and unwilling witness Irene Wallner, in addition to lead claimant Ernst Janning and his prosecution counsel Hans Rolfe.
