Overview

Jesper is sent to Smeerensburg, a remote village on a frozen island above the Arctic Circle where grumpy residents scarcely exchange sentences, let alone letters, after he distinguishes himself as the Postal Academy’s worst pupil. When Jesper encounters local instructor Alva and Klaus, an enigmatic carpenter who stays alone in a cabin full of wooden toys, he is about to give up and leave his duty as a postman.
