Time travel would be conceived in the futuristic crime adventure Looper, but it would be illegal and only accessible on the black market. When the gang needs to get rid of somebody, they’ll take them back in time 30 years, where a looper, a hired gun like Joe, will be waiting to mop up. Joe is becoming wealthy, and life is fine before the mafia tries to close the loop, sending Joe’s future selves back in time to be assassinated.
