Grace Margaret Mulligan sees a slave being punished at a cotton farm named Manderlay after fleeing Dogville in 1933. Slavery is unconstitutional in the United States, and Grace stands up against the farm’s founders. She lives in Manderlay with some gangsters and continues to manipulate the case. Grace, on the other hand, sees the social and economic truth of Manderlay as harvest time arrives.
