A New Orleans hooker, Hattie, visits her brothel with a photographer named Bellocq one night and after he has photographed her he meets Violet, her 12 year old daughter. When Violet was introduced by her mother’s madam as an active girl and Hattie was able to marry, Violet soon lost her virginity and concentrated on meeting Bellocq. Yet Violet has a life with Bellocq after her mother returns to town.
