Overview
Mary Cummings, who has “”been Born Again her entire life,”” is about to begin her senior year at American Eagle Christian High School near Baltimore, where she will be joined by her Fundamentalist Christian friends Hilary Faye and Veronica, who have created a girl group named the Christian Jewels. All seems to be sweet—until Mary’s “”perfect Christian partner,”” Dean, informs her that he feels he’s homosexual while they’re swimming underwater.
