As giant robots threaten New York City, “”Sky Captain”” defends the city with his private air power. Reporter Polly Perkins, his ex-girlfriend, has been looking into the latest disappearances of famous scientists. Sky Captain and Polly plan to collaborate after suspecting a connection between global robot attacks and missing men. They travel to the Himalayas in search of the elusive Dr. Totenkopf, the robot’s mastermind.
