Overview
This film finds Angélique in a muslim Kingdom in North Africa where she is now part of the harem of the Sultan. The first section of the film consists of her angrily declining to be couched and practically struggling to make some sense of her. Everything seems to be going on too long and I was shocked that the Sultan just didn’t execute her. Late in the film, with the aid of two Christian prisoners she eventually manages to flee.
