Overview

Ahmad ibn Fadlan, a Muslim diplomat banished from his country, finds himself in the company of Vikings. Though ibn Fadlan is initially offended by the Norsemen’s actions, the more cultured outsider grows to admire the tough, if uncouth, warriors. During their journeys together, ibn Fadlan and the Vikings learn of a dark threat closing in on them, and they must battle the terrifying and powerful entity that was previously believed to only exist in folklore.
