As a small California coastal town prepares to celebrate its centennial, strange things begin to happen. Inanimate artifacts come to life; Rev. Malone learns a mysterious mystery concerning the town’s founding; radio announcer Stevie sees a magical fire; and hitchhiker Elizabeth discovers a fisherman’s mutilated corpse. The town is then enveloped in a strange iridescent cloud, and more inhabitants begin to perish.
