Overview of the Situation

The Fugitive is an American drama series that broadcast on ABC from 1963 to 1967 and was developed by Roy Huggins and distributed by QM Productions and United Artists Television. Richard Kimble, played by David Janssen, is a psychiatrist who is wrongfully accused of his wife’s murder and sentenced to death. Kimble’s train derails and crashes en route to death row, enabling him to flee and launch a cross-country hunt for the true perpetrator, a “”one-armed man.”” Dr. Kimble is being pursued by the authorities at the same moment, most prominently by Police Lieutenant Philip Gerard.
