The FBI is about to learn that things in this town are a bit different.
Two police officers, one an unconventional Irish cop and the other a straight-laced FBI investigator, would team up to take on a foreign drug-smuggling ring. Sergeant Gerry Boyle is an odd small-town policeman with a confrontational and crass attitude as well as a subversive sense of humour. Boyle, a long-serving police officer in County Galway, is a renegade with his own set of values. He’s seen plenty in the universe to realize there’s not anything of it, plus he’s had plenty of time to consider it. As a fellow officer goes missing and Boyle’s small town becomes a focal point of a major narcotics trade investigation, he is expected to at least pretend to be interested when working with the humorless FBI investigator assigned to the case, Wendell Everett.
