A historical drama about Russian author Leo Tolstoy’s attempt to reconcile his popularity and riches with his desire to live a life free of material possessions. The Countess Sofya, Leo Tolstoy’s wife and muse, uses every technique of seduction on her husband’s devoted follower, whom she insists was the one who persuaded Tolstoy to sign a new will that bequeaths his work and property to the Russian citizens.
