As brash Texas border officer Mike Norton kills and burys Pete Perkins’ buddy and ranch hand, Melquiades Estrada, he is told of a vow he made to bury his friend in his Mexican hometown. He kidnaps Norton and exhumes Estrada’s body, and the strange caravan rides off to Mexico on horseback.
