Following a tumultuous split, Frances, a 35-year-old San Francisco book publisher, agrees to a tour of Tuscany at the behest of her peers. She buys Bramasole, a run-down villa in the Tuscan countryside, on a whim and starts to put her life back together, beginning with the villa, and discovers that life has an uncanny way of offering her everything she desires.
