Ray Owens is the sheriff of Sommerton Junction, a sleepy US border town where he left the LAPD after a botched procedure. Since eluding the FBI, a suspected drug lord, his team, and a hostage are making their way to Sommerton Junction, where police are planning a last-ditch effort to stop them before they reach the border. Owens is hesitant to get engaged at first, but then enters the law enforcement activities.
