When the scheme fails, everyone is going to make a lot of money.
After a fatal shooting on the Pearl Street Bridge, where the hostage and the criminal died, detective Quentin Conners is wrongly fired and his colleague Jason York leaves the police department. Conners is put in charge of a bank robbery that involves a hostage crisis, with novice Shane Dekker as his associate. The robbers, led by Lorenz, do not seem to take a single penny from the bank. When pursuing the gangsters, the detective team reveals that they used the Chaos Theory to insert a virus in the scheme, taking one billion dollars from various accounts. They also discover that Lorenz is murdering his accomplices.
