Overview
Guts, an incredibly powerful sword-for-hire, lacks focus throughout his existence, battling battle after battle. This all changes, though, when he encounters Griffith, a charming and ambitious young man who leads the Band of the Hawk mercenary force, and is defeated by him. Casca, the tough, solitary swordswoman in the Band of the Hawk, fails to embrace Guts and the impact he has on the world around her until he joins the Band and their friendship blossoms. As the two men begin to struggle together, Griffith rises to strength, all in the name of achieving his enigmatic, prophesied objectives. How much will Guts and Griffith go to achieve their objectives, and where will destiny lead the two men?
