Overview
Mérida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus and Queen Elinor in the mysterious Scottish Highlands, where Brave is set. Mérida, a rambunctious daughter and professional archer, defies a holy land tradition one day and unwittingly causes chaos in the kingdom. Mérida seeks out an eccentric elderly Wise Woman in an effort to put things right, and she is given an ill-fated wish. The kingdom’s three kings, the giant Lord MacGuffin, the surly Lord Macintosh, and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall, all play a role in Mérida’s journey and provide comic relief.
