Overview
Fight of Gods takes place many years after the battle with Majin Buu, which decided the destiny of the whole world. Beerus, the God of Destruction, is visited by Whis, his attendant, after waking up from a long slumber, and discovers that the galactic overlord Frieza has been conquered by Goku, a Super Saiyan from the North Quadrant of the cosmos and a former pupil of the North Kai. Goku, ecstatic at the prospect of a new opportunity, disregards King Kai’s guidance and confronts Beerus, but he is quickly overcome and defeated. Beerus departs, but his chilling comment, “”Is there anybody on Earth more deserving of destruction?”” lingers. It’s now up to the heroes to stop the God of Destruction before everything goes to hell.
