Dr. Vasi creates Chitti, a super-powered robot with his own portrait. The research entity in charge of approving the robot, AIRD, rejects it because it lacks emotions and the capacity to make logical decisions. Chitti seems to be primed for introduction into the human environment after a brief bolt of lightning elicits feelings in the robot. Chitti then falls in love with Sana, Dr. Vasi’s fiancée, and flips on his maker.
