A personal and epic exploration into the female perspective on fighting.
The film tells the tale of Waad al-life Kateab’s during the rebellion in Aleppo, Syria, as she falls in love, marries, and gives birth to her daughter Sama, all as cataclysmic violence erupts around her. Waad wrestles with a difficult choice: whether or not to leave the city to secure her daughter’s safety, even though doing so implies abandoning the fight for independence for which she has already given so much.
