Money has an effect on everything.
When renovating Anna’s family home in London, Tom and Anna Wright, a young American couple, become deeply in debt. As the pair mourns the failure of their dream of owning a home and starting a family, they learn that the occupant in the apartment below them has died, leaving behind a cash hoard worth $400,000. Despite their reservations, Tom and Anna conclude that the solution is simple: what they have to do is take the money secretly and use just what they can to get out of debt. However, as they begin wasting the money and are unable to resist, they become the victim of a dangerous adversary—the robber who robbed it—and terrible things begin to happen to good people.
