Colin Ware, the British poet, learns that his boyfriend Vera would marry another guy. Distracted and disappointed, he goes to America and finishes in New England’s tiny city of Hope. Colin is at first sad, but he can soon find more than a shoulder as his innkeepers introduce him to Mandy, a lovely nurse. All is going well and Colin almost missed his old flame before Vera comes up with her own surprise.
