Overview

Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest childhood when her father begins a new career in San Francisco, knows how difficult growing up can be. Riley’s leading emotions—Joy, Fear, Rage, Disgust, and Sadness—live in Headquarters, Riley’s mental control center, where they guide her through daily life and try to keep things optimistic, but the emotions disagree about how to handle a new place, home, and education.
