Overview
The Great Gold Pirate Woonan was a legendary pirate who amassed almost a third of the world’s gold. The pirate’s life vanished with time, and a rumor grew that he escaped with his gold to a distant island, which pirates are now searching for. Luffy and his men are stripped of their treasure aboard the Going Merry, where they are starving and careless. They sink the getaway ship in an effort to reclaim it, led by a young boy called Tobio, a captured member of El Drago’s pirate gang. El Drago’s search for gold has led him to Woonan’s island, where he discovers thanks to Woonan’s treasure map. Luffy’s team has been broken up at this period, and they must work together to prevent El Drago from possessing Woonan’s gold, against their own circumstances.
