Overview

Lieutenant Pradelle directs a futile assault a few days before the Armistice in November 1918, causing a useless disaster; however his outrageous act still ties the lives of two soldiers who have little in common other than the battlefield: Édouard saves Albert, although at a high expense. They become tragedy friends attempting to live in a shifting environment. Pradelle follows suit in his own way.
