All predicts the worse after Custer and the 7th Cavalry are wiped out by Indians. Capt. Nathan Brittles is sent on duty, but he must still accompany Abby Allshard, the commanding officer’s wife, and her sister, the lovely Olivia Dandridge, who are being evacuated for their own protection. Brittles is about to leave, and Olivia has attracted the attention of two of the Company’s youthful officers, Lt. Flint Cohill and 2nd Lt. Ross Pennell. She’s started wearing a yellow ribbon in her hair as a hint that she has a Cavalry beau, although she won’t reveal who it’s about.
