Overview
The Thracian Slave Spartacus, who was sentenced to live the rest of his adult life working in the barren deserts of Egypt, has been given a new lease after it was bought by the fat owner of the Roman Gladiator Academy. Moved by the Ethiopian guerrilla defiance of Draba, Spartacus leads a slave revolt that undermines the status quo of Rome. In the Roman Senate, as Spartacus gets sympathy, he even creates a mighty adversary as Marcus Lucinius Crassus, who makes it a matter of personal honor to crush the revolt.
