Homer is an infant who was never raised and has been the favourite of Dr. Larch, the head of the orphanage. Dr. Larch teaches Homer all he knows about medicine, and he grows into a capable, but unlicensed, physician. Homer, on the other hand, yearns for a life apart from the orphanage. In the cider building, what would Homer learn about life and love? What fate would Dr. Larch have in store for him?
