Overview

Dr. Adrian Helmsley discovers that the earth’s center is heating up as part of a global geophysical team studying the impact of radiation from unprecedented solar storms on the earth. He informs US President Thomas Wilson that the earth’s crust is growing brittle, and that the human species is lost unless adequate plans are made to save a fraction of the world’s population. Writer Jackson Curtis, meanwhile, comes across the same detail. As the world’s leaders rush to build “”arks”” to avoid the imminent disaster, Curtis tries to save his kin. Meanwhile, across the globe, massive volcano eruptions and earthquakes are wreaking havoc.
