Electric Dreams is a BBC television documentary series co-produced with The Open University that follows a family of two parents and four children in their home for three decades, capturing their reactions to the shifting speed of technological transition. The series was intended to be “”far more than a technology program… it is recent societal history and raises big moral questions regarding existence in the real world,”” according to the creators. The series premiered on the UK digital terrestrial channel BBC Four in September and October 2009, narrated by actor and comic Robert Llewellyn. In 2010 and 2011, it was sold for foreign broadcast.
