When you look at me, what do you see?
McCall says he has placed his mysterious history behind him and is focused on starting a modern, peaceful life. Yet he can’t stand by and do nothing as he encounters Teri, a teenage girl kept captive by ultra-violent Russian gangsters. McCall emerges from his self-imposed retirement with latent abilities that allow him to exact revenge on those that would brutalize the powerless, and his thirst for justice is reignited. McCall can assist if anyone has a dilemma, if the odds are skewed against them, or whether they have nowhere else to switch. He’s known as The Equalizer.
