A primitive Gill-Man is discovered in the mythical Black Lagoon by a research team looking for fossils along the Amazon River. The adventurers catch the enigmatic beast, but it manages to escape. The Gill-Man returns to abduct Kay, one of the expedition’s fiancées, with whom it has fallen in love.
